BVI Yacht Charters

Named as the #1 Sailing Area in the World, the British Virgin Islands are eager to show you a good time that you won't soon forget

Chartering services enjoy smooth sailing as tourists embrace the idea of relaxing on the water by day and resting on it at night in accommodations fit for royalty

When you think of having your own chartered yacht tour of the British Virgin Islands, it may seem like a distant dream. The truth is that although yachts are not cheap, they are a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the Carribean the way you want to see it and, some cases, charters can cost as little as $1,600 per person.

A crewed charter includes a captain, chef and first mate and yacht tours typically include luxurious sleeping quarters for added comfort. Aside from the numerous amenities found onboard, which are often equivalent to a resort suite, yachts offer a close view of the blue Carribean waters that few rarely ever see. The beauty of a yacht charter is that you can choose from a variety of water activities, enjoy plenty of sites and select from a delicious menu of professionally prepared foods. Rates include breakfast, lunch, dinner and even dessert for those with a sweet tooth.

When reserving a yacht charter, it's important to know that government taxes and cruising permits are required. Since most yacht charters already have confirmed itineraries, you will not have to worry about knowing which areas to visit because nobody knows the islands like the crew. Most charter rates include 7-nights and, for those who are traveling in groups, the per person rates gets lower as more passengers are added. In other words, you will get a discounted rate for groups, including friends and family.

In addition to housing the capital city of Road Town in the British Virgin Islands, the island of Tortola also offers a large number of yacht charters. The following is our list of the best crewed charters for the British Virgin Islands:

Having a good time on a chartered yacht

Currently, yacht charters are one of the main industries for the British Virgin Islands. When entering the British Virgin Islands from the United States or Canada, you can either provide a passport or an authenticated birth certificate, citizenship card or voter's registration when accompanied by a valid picture ID.

When reserving your yacht charter, be sure to let the company know of any special food or beverage requests that you may have, including a champagne and/or wine selection. For an additional fee, the menu can be customized to fit your needs. It is customary to provide gratuity in the amount of 15-20% of the total charter fee.
