British Virgin Islands · AnegadaDining & Nightlife on AnegadaBritish Virgin IslandsLive the life of Rousseau's savages, sink your teeth into the famous Anegada lobster, feast to your hearts content, sleep all day and enjoy debauched and felicitous merriment all night long - oh, it doesn't matter-you're on vacation! And what's more; you're on vacation in Anegada! Oh, silly vacationer tied up by the daily worries of the outside world, now's the time to realize that you can take charge of your vacation experience. Don't let anybody else tell you what to do. After all, it's on the island of Anegada that your dreams come true. Escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, the constant drone of the car radio, the buzz of the TV in your living room, the cold, cold winter of the Northeast or the empty vacant stares of people in California who still haven't figured out why it's not snowing (but it's still quite cold, and they keep dreaming, dreaming, dreaming of a white Christmas. It never comes). Oh, such wintertime doldrums must be avoided! Turn your dreamy gaze to the tropics and discover Anegada! What will you find here? Simply put: something that you've never found before. Pure sun, warm, hot sun pouring down upon your beach time body in the middle of winter. Delicious food, sumptuous savory food. Nightlife, controlled, yet pulsating nonetheless, happy nightlife. Oh, Anegada is a tropical splash of a nightlife that you'll find hard, oh so hard to forget. Anegada's RestaurantsOne of the most delicious places for fine Caribbean cuisine can be found at the Cow Wreck Beach Bar & Grill. Delve into a steamy paradise platter filled with some of the island's best fresh lobster (and on Anegada, which is famous for its lobster, that's no small claim to fame!), and other savory seafood and chicken delights. Enjoy the relaxed, "mom's kitchen" kind of feel here and you'll be coming back again. Find Cow Wreck Beach Bar & Grill at Lower Cow Wreck Beach. Call ahead to reserve your place by dialing (284) 495-8047. Another delightful place to eat on the island of Anegada is Neptune's Treasure. Mmm! You'll love the varied selection of fish, chicken, ribs, steak, swordfish and, of course, the famous Anegada lobster. The exceptional views offered by this must-visit destination include the scenic and beautiful Marina, the - wait, let's stop here for a second. Despite the fact that Anegada is desolate when it comes to the number of people who actually live here (a mere 250), there's a lot to be said for the people who come here to enjoy themselves. Indeed, the yachters add a touch of cosmopolitan flare worth imbibing, and when they mix with the locals at Neptune's Treasure, good times are to be had by all. Don't leave Neptune's Treasure without throwing back at least one of their Pink Whopees. The thing is, though, that after one of these, patrons to this restaurant/establishment will likely want to have a few more. That's how one especially debauched afternoon started out… innocently. So what if it was only four in the afternoon! All we wanted was to know what it was that the locals were talking about so enthusiastically. Hours later, singing at the top of our lungs and stumbling about on the one paved street that Anegada can boast of, we had kind of figured it out. That was fun! Find this great restaurant at Pomato and Saltheap Points. Enjoy delicious breakfast and call ahead for dinner reservations by dialing (284) 495-9439. When it comes to actual dance clubs and venues, it would be most accurate to say that, overall, this island is pretty sleepy. Miami Beach travelers should probably stay in Miami Beach. If they're going to the British Virgin islands that all they should probably go to Tortola, a raucous partying is a little bit more rare on the silent of Anegada. But nevertheless, you'll have a good time here. For More Information
